Eobanus Ludwig *(128) was born March 6 1775 in Kassel as a son Heinrich Ludwig (256) and Anna Catharina Kaufmann (257) (BD:Extract of birth certificate, Staatsarchiv Marburg , 1775, seite 257, issued 4 Jan. 1958, see appendix 128) The godfather’s name on the document is Eobanus Mombailley. In Knikkerspatten Eobanus is reported , in error, as having been born in 1783 in Marburg. In 1804 Eobanus married Elizabeth Hoffmeister*(129) who was born in 1784 in Kassel. She was the daughter of Conrad Hoffmeister* (258) and Anna Catharina Denner(259). Conrad was born in 1750 in Kassel. Conrad and Anna had a son named Johann Werner Hoffmeister*. Children from this marriage: 1.1 Martha Elisabeth Ludwig, born 28-01-1807 in Kassel 1.2 Richard Ludwig, born 09-02-1809 in Kassel 1.3 Johann Werner Ludwig, born 31-03-1811 in Kassel.
