I think the author is talking about the soc.genealogy.german FAQ, or
possibly to the whole genealogy.net website, it isn't clear. Anyway, I
thought the team should read this note.
I think the team as a whole deserves a lot of praise for what we have done
for others over the years. We all deserve a great big attaboy.

Subject: Your genealogy site
To your suggestion in your sec.geneology.german FAQ, a word of thanks:
I've been casually collecting family history information and other
researchers data for the last 15-20 years and am finally pulling everything
together, making a real effort to methodically research many holes and to
verify what data I've received from others. Your site is both informative
and inspiring - the links and related resources invaluable. Through your
site, I've found the research starting point I've been searching for the
past several months.
I found your site via a Google search for Antrifttal. A more restricted
search revealed only your site and one other with a reference to
"Antrifttal im Wandel der Zeiten", the book I purchased 6 years ago when
briefly in Ruhlkirchen, the town my great-grandfather left in 1883.
It has been a great resource, taking me from oral history to written
record, that has allowed me to identify my great-great grandparents
(SCHMITT/PFEFFER) and I believe well beyond that (translation in progress).
So, thank you. You have enabled me to orient myself in the oceans of
resource available.
Regards,
Glenn Schmitt
