Dear Mr. Rump My name is Nenad Govorcinovic(the original surname of my family is Klein). All I(at the moment) know is that my ancestor Andreas Klein came to Syrmien around 1860 and settled in village Klenak district Ruma, Serbia. My grandfather Petar Govorcinovic served Austria-Hungary army in WW1 under name Peter Klein. Since I dont know much about my ancestor, and I am seeking to find out more, and since I live in Belgrade, Yugoslavia maybe I could be of some assistance to your organization and through that I could get more info about my ancestor. Besides I am an economist, I speak german, english and serbo-croatian. Waiting for your answer, I wish you all best
Hi,
we don't have much of an organization - just a bunch of guys (& gals) who like history and genealogy and got together to help others doing the same. It's the typical internet help-your-fellow-man effort.
I personally have no connections to YU and will pass this note on to our team members. Maybe someone with interests in the Balkan area will contact you. I will also take the liberty and repost a short version of your note to soc.genealogy.german.
Thanks for writing and offereing your help.
