colors

I thought I would experiment with bringing a little color into our lives... I have uploaded color versions of the top-level page for you to review. In choosing the scheme, I keyed off the blue and gold of the "G" GIF which is at the upper left corner. Then, thinking that gold is already in the German flag, I made the background black and completed the flag motif using red for the color that appears after a link has been visited. What do you think? I am not necessarily proposing that every page be colored this way. But perhaps it makes for a more interesting "welcome mat"?
