Hi, I understand your question. You find information about X place but have no idea where such place is and would like to be able to reach right in and work from that location. There are simply too many places in the world or even just germany to do something like that. The question then would be which Emsdetten are you talking about? Is it still around or just a neighborhood in a larger city. Such research must be done up front by the genealogists himself. Sorry but I doubt if we can ever give you an upside down access mechanism. We do have facilities for such research but yoyu have to read through the FAQ to find them Fred Fred@compu.com
Hello, just today I'm hitting on your page, amazing I've missed it for so long. I have one suggestion: you have a "top-down" approach as to going to the sections dealing with the needed geographical area. But would it not be handy to make it a bottom-up approach also? Which means that when one finds a record for 1702 in Emsdetten and has no idea where that might be, the person will have a difficult time sifiting through all the options. And all the territories might not mean anything to that person. Thus: Emsdetten with reference to the various geographical options and then again links to the relevant sites (I know it would help me!) greetings M
