Stimme ich auch zu. Ist aber eigentlich noch kein Problem, oder? Das verschiedene Seiten andere backgrounds haben wuerde bestimmt nicht zu dem Thema besser Information bringen. Mit tables und frames wuerde das aber eine andere Sache sein weil diese auch organisieren und presentieren.
On the other hand, before everyone runs willy-nilly each to their own different schemes and setups, we might want to consider that conventions also increase the user's power to make good use of the site. If they grow accustomed to certain organizations and color uses etc. on one page, then they already have an advantage when they find that their researches take them to a new region and its page. I am mostly thinking here about ways to use color text (but there are no doubt other examples), to give extra meaning to text in ways that are consistent across the entire website. The xland.html concept is a good one because it empowers our consumers -- let's build on it.
