[Webpages-l] more thinking about the top-level page

Hi, I think that if so much information is to be added to the page, if it is really to become a "Portal page" similar to a page like http://www.yahoo.com then the descriptive text needs to be dispensed with and basically only the headers (i.e. the links) retained. The page should try to be either "fish or fowl", but cannot really work well as both. Do we want a descriptive page here or a portal page there? Rick
