Dear All, I have just loaded http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/hist-de.html http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/history.html http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/contac-e.htm http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/bulval-m.htm http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/news-m.htm http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/chfamily-e.htm to go to .../reg/CH/... http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/agallg-d.htm http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/agallg-e.htm http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/tiallg-e.htm http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/ch/luallg-d.htm http://www.genealogy.com/gene/tmp/up/pages/chsgstia-d.htm to go to .../reg/CH/kant/... To check the links I have used http://www.netmechanic.com/link_check.htm as mentioned earlier : the only problem is that this service will just stop after 200 pages or 500 links (whatever is reached first) - insufficient to check all SwissGen pages (let alone all German Genealogy pages) in one go. But this service could be employed by individuals for "their own" pages. The only sure way to get all pages you want checked is to create a "check page", listing all pages you want checked - have a look at http://www.eye.ch/swissgen/check.htm To create this page I have basically just converted a directory listing into a web page - quite simple when you look after a complete subdirectory (like I do for Switzerland), possibly a bit more complicated when you feel responsible for pages scattered all over the place. I have two further such pages (for the kant dir and the ver+schori directories) plus the news page for all new pages - which means I have to ask for four runs each time. Each check run will continue afterwards with follow-up pages and will finally stop, usually due to the 500 links limitation - so it's worth to remember which page is the last one on your shopping list ! I have to admit that the lists provided by Arthur and Jim were much more convenient ;-). Best regards - Wolf -------------- Wolf W.
