During the 17th and 18th Century people were forced to emigrate because of their (protestant) religion. Here in my region, Norhtern Bavaria, Pfeifenberger was widespread during 19th and early 20th century, but now has become very rare. I found out, that all Pfeifenberger here are sons and daughters from one person, died in 1755. He was a corporal (Feldwebel) in an auxilary army. I found out the data of birth, marriage and death of about 220 persons. - If I can help you in that matter, please contact me.
