On which server did you check, Jim ? This subdir (CH2) doesn't seem to exist in Giessen - is it something else I've "inherited" without knowing about it ?
Check again, it is there. ftp://www2.genealogy.net/gene/reg/CH/CH2/ or http://www2.genealogy.net/gene/reg/CH/CH2/index.html Look fast, your browser will redirect. Or press the back button.
The only thing in that directory is a redirect page. My guess is that the directory /gene/reg/CH/CH2 and its one file should be deleted, but it may be serving a purpose of which I am unaware. (This has happened before!) -- =Jim Eggert EggertJ@LL.mit.edu
Sorry - I goofed (I guess I looked for ch2 instead of CH2). I cannot think of any purpose : could it be that Arthur set it up during "the early days", when we were discussing how to combine the 3 "German" servers with the SwissGen server in Basel ? Or is it connected to the SwissGen alias http://swiss.genealogy.net/ ? Best regards - Wolf
