Hmmm, I cannot seem to reach qrz.com via ftp either. Connection refused right away:

$ ftp qrz.com ftp: connect: Connection refused ftp> quit

I can telnet OK however. Perhaps Fred Lloyd would care to take a look?

No - I got the files on my HD mixed up (schweiz and schweiz-en) : ok for the Swiss pages, but interchanged for the "US pages" - I have two separate versions due to the links to German Genealogy outside SwissGen : with and without "http://...". I have fixed this now - but I'm refused access to ftp.genealogy.com ?? I do get pages from www.genealogy.com !! I also just sent a couple of pages to our Basel server - so ftp seems to be ok on my side. Do you have an explanation for this ??

I'm not sure. Perhaps a temporary software problem, stuck pty or something. QRZ may be due for a reboot. You could upload to Giessen I guess.

No - I can't : "permission denied". I had the same problem when I first tried to upload to the US-/pages/ch : could someone please fix it in Giessen as well ?
