1. The map and text ignore areas that were linguistically German until WWII. I'm sure that this is a shortcoming of his source.
Stimmt nicht ganz, erwaehnt wird u. a. Elsass, Boehmen, Pommern, Holland etc., also Laendereien, die heute nicht mehr zu Deutschland gehoeren. Die Karte zeigt allerdings nicht die Staatsgrenzen, damit koennte man das etwas besser aufzeigen.
I'm sorry, I missed some of the text entries. I guess the complaint is really about the map, not the text. The map is good for what it represents, the dialectal boundaries of 1965. A different map would have to be drawn for 1865 to include territories east of the Oder, for example. Sorry, but this is the only one about dialects, but I think it's better than nothing. Frank
