Dave Triffo hat sich bei mir gemeldet. Ich weiss aber nicht, was ich ihm vorschlagen soll. Kann wer helfen (Arthur)? -- =Jim Eggert EggertJ@crosswinds.net ---------- From: "Dave the Computer Guy" <dave@bcplus.com> Date: Wed, 20 Dec 2000 13:40:20 -0800 To: "Jim Eggert" <eggertj@crosswinds.net> Subject: Re: german.genealogy.net Jim, Sorry for the delay in responding. Have been super busy. I'd like to bring the mirror back up, but am at somewhat of a loss about how to accomplish it. Maybe you have an idea? My server used to be at my location here, but now is co-located across town. When the server was here, is used that Httrack program to mirror (NT Server) - but now that it's across town, I don't know how to get the mirroring done. Can the main server "push" it here FTP or something? I'm open to any ideas that you may have and feel badly about it being down so long. The good thing in this is that the current server is about 10 times stronger and on a better connection. Let me know your thoughts. Hi Dave,
I'm wondering about the state of the German genealogy mirror formerly at german.genealogy.net. It has been down for some time now. Do you have any plans to bring it back up?
The rest of the German genealogy team has started negotiating with RootsWeb.com for hosting space there for another American mirror. They are proposing reusing the hostname german.genealogy.net.
Let me know what you want to do. Thanks.
