Rick, I modified the above letter to the archives in the czech part. I got a translation request and the person has written in the letter, that she is enclosing $15. I don't think, we should recommend it, letters with cash enclosed to CZ (at least) tend to get lost. CZ archives ask for their fees according to the hours spent, through an intermediary, who sends the Rechnung and waits until the payment arrives. After that the results of the research will be deliveded. Don't know, how the payment is done in othes lands. Regards, Dora
