I presume we will want to list all the regions which are in the current ger1990.htm page somewhere in this page?
I don't think so. That would be duplication. It should simply be a larger region and the information should apply to the entirety not only certain sections like under ger1990.
Making this page seems to establish a dividing line which I wouldn't mind understanding better. We will now have some topics which could either be considered best situated in the Germany page or best situated in General Help. Libraries in Germany might be such a topic for example. Verbaende is probably another. Where should this information be? Or perhaps is it okay for this information to be in both places?
There should be a place for German societies which conceren themselves with German genealogy in general - ie ueberregional according to the breakdown attempt. I still see most German genealogical societies with a charter for a particular Forschungsbereich. This would include everyone who has a German region in the name of the organization. That is their focus and they should be listed under our own breakdown for those regions. The same should be the case for libraries which focus on certain specilties (Martin Obitz etc). Others should be listed under an all-Germany category under the xland type categorization where we typically have libraries and archives. Some duplication is possible and should be permissable. There could well be a general help and a more specific help under regional groups. We should let this play out a little to see how it might work.
