Re: [Webpages-l] Neue Startseite
Hi, Comments on the English page: The Newsletter link needs to link to the English version of the newsletter. Same with Mailing Lists. I think Domains is placed too prominently. Most do not care. Perhaps better to place at the bottom of the page. Town Genealogy: I would prefer the term Local Heritage Books. I would also like the page to which this links to point to the other Ortsfamilienbuecher pages on the site, not only the ones inside the borders of modern Germany. For example, for Donauschwaben it would be /gene/reg/ESE/OSB.html. I'm sure Dora has a similar page for Sudetenland, etc. Also, I think the OSB topic is of high interest and should be placed more prominently. I disagree that Unit conversions needs its own category. I would place it under Terminology and Symbols. I would give Home Pages greater prominence. People like this sort of thing. Nice job overall. Rick At 23:24 7/16/00 +0200, you wrote:
Moin, moin,

You are right. But how to implement this best on the top level page? Since the OFB pages are (as far as I know) are not maintained any more, it would be more than fine, if we can find someone doing this job. Then the link would be to a top level OFB page, which points to the regional OFB pages. Does anyone have an overview about regional pages where we have OFB (or heritage book) overviews? I know about "Ostfriesland, Donauschwaben and Oldenburg

One problem when "designing" the table cells is to keep the symmetry. Currently I do not see a better splitting of the points to keep it. Any ideas are welcome.
Nice job overall. Thanks
